Kathmandu, The Los Angeles Travel and Adventure Show was successfully held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, jointly organized by the Nepal Tourism Board and Unicom LLC. The event saw the participation of four renowned Nepalese travel and adventure companies, marking it as a great success.

The event played a crucial role in promoting tourism, trekking, adventure, culture, and nature in Nepal. Former General Secretary of the Trekking Agencies' Association of Nepal (TAAN), Binod Sapkota, emphasized that the show made a valuable contribution to Nepal's tourism development.
Representing Nepal at the event were Friends Adventure Team’s Rajendra Bahadur Lama, Nepal Trek Adventure’s Managing Director Binod Sapkota, Nepal Sanctuary Treks’ Tulsi Gyawali, and Ojha Holidays Tours and Treks’ Ramesh Raj Ojha.

Rajendra Bahadur Lama, Managing Director of Friends Adventure Team and Executive Member of the Nepal Tourism Board, highlighted that the event attracted thousands of visitors. Lama stated, "The presence of the Nepal Tourism Board has helped position Nepal as a top destination for adventure travel, cultural tourism, and business."
According to him, Nepal's breathtaking landscapes, rich heritage, and diverse tourism experiences captivated visitors, generating increased interest in visiting Nepal.
According to Nepal Tourism Board's Chief Executive Officer, Deepak Raj Joshi, the show played a vital role in attracting American tourists to Nepal. He told media around 10% of the total tourists visiting Nepal in 2024 are expected to be from the United States. Since the US is Nepal’s second-largest source of tourists after India, Joshi emphasized that events like the Travel and Adventure Show are crucial for Nepal’s tourism industry.

The event featured travel agencies from 15 countries, including Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, and South American nations. The program was successfully coordinated by Kundan Mishra, Senior Officer at the Europe-America Marketing Division of the Nepal Tourism Board.
Hikmat Singh Ayer, Senior Director; Naveen Pokharel, Senior Managing Director of Nepal Tourism Board; and Nepal’s Honorary Consul for California, Rishi Prasad Dhakal, were also present at the event.The Los Angeles Travel and Adventure Show took place on February 22 and 23.
