Kathmand - The "Jiri on Canvas" painting exhibition, aimed at promoting tourism in Jiri, concluded successfully at Umoja Cafe, Nayabaneshwar, Kathmandu. The event, which began on Friday, wrapped up on Tuesday, drawing significant interest from the public.
Lilaram Khadka, president of Tourism Promotion forum expressed that the exhibition provided a unique opportunity for people in Kathmandu to learn more about Jiri. He stated, "We believe our five-day exhibition has helped raise awareness about Jiri among Kathmandu residents."
According to the organizer thousands of visitors attended the event over the course of the five days, gaining insight into Jiri through the artworks on display. Speaking at the closing ceremony, chief guest and Bagmati Provincial Assembly member Dipendra Shrestha, who is also a former minister, emphasized that the exhibition would play an important role in boosting tourism in Jiri. "I believe this exhibition has significantly contributed to promoting Jiri's tourism potential," Shrestha remarked.
The exhibition showcased 38 paintings from renowned artists, including Keshavraj Khanal, Prakash Mizar, Liladhar KC, Mehan Sivakoti, Kisher Ranabhat, and Shiv Shirpali.
